Calgary Real Estate Board Charitable Foundation

Brent Bezugley-Charitable FoundationSince its inception in 1987, the Calgary Real Estate Board Charitable Foundation has contributed more than $3.5 million to a wide range of charities and non-profit organizations in our community.  Made up of a membership of more than 5,300 REALTOR and community members, the CREB Charitable Foundation exits to promote the charitable and philantrhopic activities of its members as well as to provide funding to shelter related initiatives in Calgary and area.

From 2005 to 2007, the Foundation, in partnership with the City of Calgary and the Governments of Alberta and Canada, focused on funding a single capital project.  Through donations from Calgary and area REALTORS, and citizens of Calgary and surrounding communities, the CREB Charitable Foundation contributed $1.5 million to the building of The Crestwood Affordable Housing Development in the community of Millican-Ogden.  This 60-unit apartment complex now houses low-income families and individuals with physical disabilities.

Every year the CREB Charitable Founation receives numerous applications for funding and through a rigorous evaluation procedure by a committee of the Board of Governors, determines how much financial support will be distributed for that year and to whom.  In 2009 over $77,000 was distributed to four charities to fund shelter-related initiatives.

The My Calgary Real Estate Team is a proud supporter of the Calgary Real Estate Board Charitable Foundation.
